Why JCS continues to be proud to put it’s name to the Made in Britain campaign

It’s been a year now since JCS signed up to the Made in Britain campaign and 12 months on it remains an initiative that JCS is committed to and proud to be a part of.  

Promoting the British manufacturing sector

The Made in Britain scheme aims to unite and promote the British manufacturing sector within the UK and around the world, and ultimately seeks to help these manufacturers sell more.

We’ve certainly found it has been beneficial when meeting and dealing with both new and established customers, who come not just from the UK but from across the world in mainland Europe, the Middle East and Asia.

A selling point

At trade shows and industry events, as well as on our website and catalogues, people see we carry the Made in Britain marque and ask us about it.

It’s a starting point for a conversation and a selling point for us, as we can tell buyers about JCS’ dedicated manufacturing facility in Suffolk, where we do everything in house and produce in excess of 25 million hose clamps each year.

Modern and outward looking

We also like the design of the marque for a number of reasons. It’s a clear, fresh and attractive logo that looks great and sits well with the rest of our branding and enhances it. It’s also a modern and confident label that speaks to the values we share as a company.

JCS has a proud heritage that can be traced back almost 250 years but that doesn’t mean we can rest on our laurels and rely on some outdated notion that Britain is great.

We want to play our part, along with the other manufacturers who are part of the Made in Britain initiative, in getting the message out there that British manufacturing is a leading edge and outward looking sector ready to do business with the rest of the world, and that the Made in Britain marque signifies our products offer a consistency and level of quality control that sets the benchmark for the rest of the industry to follow.
