1768 - Jukes Coulson is listed in the first London Directory as 'Iron Merchants'. The year that Jukes Coulson started is not known.
1870 - Thomas Newton Stokes joins the company and the name is changed to Jukes Coulson, Stokes. The company is now heavily involved in supplying hardware and ironmongery for export via the nearby London docks.
1908 - The company moves to Plaistow, East London.
1910 - 1940 The business of the company changes to large welded steel fabrications and welded drums.
1942 - The first automatic turning lathe is introduced.
1946 - A contract is obtained for supplying 'Jubilee' hose clip screws (made by auto turning).
1950 - A contract is obtained for supplying complete 'Jubilee' hose clips.
1950 - 1960 Welded steel fabrications are phased out completely in favour of more auto turning and 'Jubilee' hose clip production.
1964 - The Hi-Torque heavy duty hose clamp is introduced and a new company JCS Hi-Torque Ltd. is formed to market this unique product.
1973 - The two companies move from Plaistow, east London to Sudbury in Suffolk to a purpose built factory of 24,000 sq. ft. (2,200 m²)
1976 - The first cold forging machine is introduced for the manufacture of hose clip screws. The Hi-Grip stainless hose clip range is introduced.
1982 - The contract to supply 'Jubilee' hose clips is ended and the Hi-Grip zinc plated hose clip range is introduced. Jukes Coulson, Stokes & Co. Ltd. concentrates on manufacturing auto turned and cold forged parts for the motor industry. JCS Hi-Torque Ltd. takes over the manufacture and distribution of all hose clips.
1985 - The factory at Sudbury is enlarged to 44,000 sq. ft. (4,000 m²).
1993 - JCS Hi-Torque Ltd. introduced new products, P-Clips and Mini-Clips.
1994 - The factory is extended by 4,800 sq. ft. (500 m²) for a specialist electro-plating facility.
1995 - JCS Hi-Torque Ltd. introduce the Multi-Torque Banding System.
1997 - A further 1.8 hectares (4.5 acres) of land adjoining the factory site are purchased for future expansion.
1999 - JCS Hi-Torque Ltd. introduce Tamtorque Sign Clamps.
